Crinum thaianum (also known as Onion Plant) from Thailand is a distinctive bulbous plant which will grow very tall and has leaves 60-200 cm long. This undemanding plant that requires a large aquarium as it needs space to grow (150 Litres +)

When planting, make sure 2/3 of the bulb is showing, otherwise the bulb might rot.

Great for larger aquariums and larger fish. Fish that tend to eat plants will leave this one alone due to it's tough, thick leaves.

Can be used in low tech set ups, low light, with or without co2 injection. It will adapt to most environments and does well when fertilized.

my first order and obviously wasn't sure at £9.99 , when it could have turned up with a bulb and maybe 1 leaf. well what a joy to see when i opened the package , a lovely plants with leaves galore, with a few reaching the top of my 2 foot high tank. chunky bulb too. defo very pleased .

    I have ordered from Aquarium Gardens for the first time after seeing them on social media. Well what can I say except WOW, the plants were a really good price, they arrived on time actually quicker than I expected!
