This new variety from Africa is as hardy as the regular Anubias nana. However, it's beautiful round leaves measures 3 to 4 cm. The new growth is initially brown/ red in colour but as it matures the leaves turn dark green. A slow growing plant suitable for smaller aquariums. Anubias nana Coin is a foreground plant. It suits temperatures between 24-30degrees. Grows to approximately 15cm.
Like most Anubias, this plant is best grown attached to something such as bogwood or rocks, you can attach it using fishline or thread. If planted into substrate or gravel the rhizome tends to rot.
This is classed as an easy to grow plant, and will suit both light and shaded areas.
