Taxiphyllum barbieri - Java Moss Scaper Pad
Taxiphyllum barbieri is erroneously called Java moss. “Real” Java moss, Vesicularia dubyana, was gradually phased out in 1970s in favour of Taxiphyllum barbieri. This is an undemanding and highly variable moss that displays several different growth habits. It grows well even in heavily shaded areas and is very tolerant of different water conditions. Anchoring the plants to logs and rocks will help create moss landscapes.

Have used 3 of these in my aquarium now. Good quality and takes pretty quickly. It's best to try to keep them whole, although I have managed to cut one in half to fit some driftwood. Twine was needed to keep the metal grid and plastic mesh together and the moss sandwiched. A great way for a novice like me to attach moss to hard scaping.
