DescriptionRotala Rontundifolia owes its popularity to its ease of cultivation and beautiful growth pattern. Most experienced aquatic gardeners have kept this plant at one time or another. Settles in well to most aquariums, however Rotala Rontundifolia needs high light to produce the red leaves which can be tricky.
In it's emersed state this plant has round leaves, but underwater it changes it's leave shape into a thinner needle like shape.
Growth will be compact if you prune often and will throw out new side shoots to become bushy. Do not let this plant get out of control, regular pruning is recommended.
